MOTHERS TRUST THANKS HELP THEM TO HOPE, INC.

Mothers Trust Foundation would like to thank Help Them to Hope, Inc. and the Lake County community members who donated to it, for a generous donation from the 2008 campaign. This community-wide fundraising effort during the holiday season is a heart-warming reminder of the willingness of people to help those in need.

Who knew more than 48 years ago, when a small group of pressmen at The News Sun started a modest in-house collection for people in need that it would grow into the organization it has become today? Since 1959, when the fund was opened to the public, it has generated over $2 million in direct contributions to assist the needy thanks to the support of a responsive community. It’s an honor to have been chosen as one of this year’s recipients.

Mothers Trust is grateful for the community outreach as we strive to help children in desperate need or crisis. We have helped more than 10,000 children in Lake County during the past 10 years. We are a non-profit organization that fills a gap in services to children in need. Our mission is to provide emergency assistance to children, to raise awareness of need, to match needs with community resources and to provide volunteers the opportunity to be involved. We work to assure that the benefits and assistance we provide will make a significant difference in the life of a child.

With the assistance of Help Them to Hope, Inc., we will continue our work of helping children when no one else can. In these difficult economic times, many of our requests come from people who never dreamed they would need to ask for help. We are grateful for the opportunity to change lives and are always encouraged when we see the willingness of those who have received our help reach out to help others.
