NEIGHBORLY CONTRIBUTIONS

On behalf of victims and survivors of domestic violence across Lake County. I wish to acknowledge the efforts and assistance of Help Them to Hope Inc.
Year after year, this organization brings together the Lake County community to support those among us with great needs that are met by many of our area’s not-for-profit service providers. A Safe Place and our clients are fortunate to receive support from Help Them to Hope in 2009.

A Safe Place is Lake County’s only service organization that is dedicated solely to meeting the needs of victims of domestic abuse. With the support of the community, A Safe Place provides emergency/temporary shelter; comprehensive trauma counseling and advocacy programs; and affordable transitional housing for survivors of domestic violence and their children in Lake County.

Help Them to Hope could not support A Safe Place without a generous response by the people of Lake County to their annual appeals to the community. A Safe Place is grateful to our neighbors for their contributions to Help Them to Hope that in turn help us to meet the needs of our fellow citizens.

In these difficult economic times, the support of Help Them to Hope and
the entire Lake County community is especially important in meeting the growing needs of adults and children who suffer abuse at home. The awareness that Help Them to Hope and The News-Sun bring to the issue of domestic violence serves to build a community across Lake County where domestic violence is not tolerated.
